High-Quality Images for Clear Visualization
The IPLEX NX is engineered to deliver high-resolution images. Its reliable image
quality enables users to clearly identify trouble spots and defective areas, so
inspectors can make correct judgments about crucial systems and technologies.
Exceptional Brightness and Impressive Images
View target areas clearer than ever before with IPLEX NX. A trio of enhancements
- improved high-resolution CCD technology, intensely-bright laser diode illumination,
and the innovative PulsarPic processor - achieve unprecedented image quality that
is four times brighter than a conventional videoscope. Inspection targets are brightly
illuminated even in large, wide spaces.
Large Touch-Screen Monitor
A vivid 8.4-inch touch-screen monitor delivers clear, bright images that are readable
in any light.
Featuring an 8.4-inch screen, the largest in the IPLEX series, the IPLEX NX displays
images that are 1.7 times larger than that of a conventional 6.5-inch monitor.
Expanded Measurement Capabilities
The IPLEX NX is designed to make precise 3D measurements. Put Olympus’ advanced
videoscope technology to work to get inspections that are precise and efficient.
Super Wide Field Stereo Measurement
IPLEX NX extended measurement area (left) can measure previously non-measurable
types of defects (right)
Stereo Measurement measures the size or depth of defects such as cracks found during
inspection. The redesigned optical system and enhanced technology achieve a dramatic
expansion in the inspection area. Users can now identify and measure flaws from
2X further away in an inspection area 4X larger than conventional videoscopes.
Stereo Measurement supplies 3D space information for specific points in an image
through precise triangulation, providing accurate length, depth, and shape measurements.
The IPLEX NX is designed, manufactured, and fine-tuned to deliver superior accuracy
and image quality so inspectors can detect small cracks or defects that were previously
measurable only at very close range.
Larger inspection area makes it easier to observe larger defects.
* Even if the measurement is performed from the twice apart distance, IPLEX NX is
as precise as a conventional model.
** In case of using φ6.0mm scope with direct-viewing stereo optical adapter, the
diagonal length of the inspection area of IPLEX NX is almost 4 times of the conventional
model.
Note: Actual viewing angle is wider than shown in this illustration.
Interchangeable Scope Units
Pick the right one to fit the job. A single NX videoscope can be configured for
varied inspections, with 6.0 mm scopes ranging in length from 3.5 m to 7.5 m and
4.0 mm scopes with lengths of 3.5 m and 5 m.
TrueFeel
A newly employed electric motor further enhances TrueFeel operation, achieving rapid
and responsive movement. Inspectors can easily control the scope through lightweight,
comfortable operation that lessens user fatigue.
The Durable Tapered Flex Insertion Tube
Tapered Flex insertion tube combines superb maneuverability with optimized rigidity
and flexibility for smooth scope insertion, enabling you to reach target areas quickly
and easily. Insertion tubes feature four layer construction with a tungsten outer
braid for durability and resilience.
Special Feature Fiberscopes
Industrial fiberscopes, initially developed and approved for the Pratt & Whitney
PT6 engine, but has since become used for the inspection of many small engines and
fine diameter pipework. There are some RVI applications that cannot be satisfied
by a standard model fiberscope. Olympus has always been at the forefront of application
solutions, and when a situation arises where a standard instrument will not provide
the desired results, then Olympus has responded with advice on optimal instrument
use in that application. This occasionally results in the introduction of a special
instrument designed to meet that specific requirement - these are therefore known
as special feature fiberscopes. This is not to say, however, that they cannot be
used in other applications. The information below describes each model, together
with its design application, but the specification may well suit a particular inspection
you need to undertake.
Standard Rigid Borescopes
A wide range of standard Rigid borescopes are available featuring various diameters,
working length, viewing directions and angles. The stainless steel insertion tube
is usable at temperature between -20°C and 150°C. Standard Rigid Borescopes are
available in a wide range of diameters, working lengths, direction of view and field
of view (magnification). The stainless steel insertion tube usable at temperature
between -20℃ and 150℃ (-4 to 302°F). Close to 200 models available featuring various
diameters, working length, and viewing directions and field of view (magnification).
Video recording and photography are available by connecting a CCD camera or the
Olympus digital camera.
Swing Prism Borescopes
ARigid borescopes which direction of view can be adjusted continuously from fore-oblique
to retro viewing-coupled with the field of view, this allows a total viewing arc
of 120°to 140°. Some applications require the observation of a wider area that can
be achieved using a single rigid instrument. Standard rigid borescopes have a fixed
direction of view and a fixed field of view, which although perfectly suited to
a single area inspection, can necessitate a kit of multiple instruments to fully
inspect a larger area. The Swing Prism borescopes feature an adjustable prism in
the objective end of the instrument that allows the operator to remotely control
the direction of view from 45° fore-oblique to 115° retro, thus allowing the area
to be 'scanned'. Coupled to the standard 50° field of view of the instrument, a
total arc of 120° can be viewed. In addition, the light guide fibers at the objective
end are separated to provide a spread of illumination across the entire viewing
range. All the optical innovations of conventional Olympus standard rigid borescopes
are also incorporated in the Swing Prism design.
